Evaluations

The Knapp Center for Childhood Development offers a variety of evaluations for individuals with autism spectrum disorder or those suspected of having autism spectrum disorder. The Diagnostic Program is directed and supervised by Dr. Julie Knapp, PhD, BCBA-D, COBA who is a pediatric neuropsychologist and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. We service youth ages 15 months up through 22 years, with our specialty being early diagnosis of toddlers with developmental delays and suspected autism. Dr. Knapp is trained and reliable in utilizing the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition (ADOS2), the Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R), and a variety of other diagnostic tools. For our older patients, we offer neuropsychological assessments to better understand their strengths and weaknesses, and use these results to guide treatment.
