Vocational Training

In addition to working on functional academics and social skills, individuals in the STEPS program also work on vocational and adaptive skills throughout the day. The specific targets depend on the functioning level of the client and treatment goals developed by parents and the treatment team. Specific skills being taught include taking inventory at the school reward store, balancing ledgers for money earned for appropriate work/behavior, job interview skills, vacuuming, and other daily chores. As with all programming, data is collected daily to allow review of progress towards mastery.
