The Knapp Center has been partnered with the summer preschool and day camps at the Boardman YMCA since 2013. The Boardman YMCA preschool camp is offered half a day, three days a week for children ages 3-5 with activities throughout the day to include swimming and organized games, gym activities, and crafts to promote friendship and play skills. The Boardman YMCA day camp is offered 5 days a week for children ages 6-13 with activities throughout the day to include swimming, organized games, sports, and crafts to promote good sportsmanship and friendship. Day campers can participate in weekly field trips to places such as Camp Fitch and Great Lakes Science Center. Weekly themes promote camp participation and bring all the campers together in fun weekly activities and camp traditions.
